I’m talking about Pomegranate seeds! :) They are juicy, crunchy and can vary between being tart or sweet depending on ripeness. Besides offering an exciting new punch to your salad, they are filled with many health benefits.
Pomegranate seeds are packed full of fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin B6, potassium and antioxidants.
Studies have shown pomegranate seeds and juice (100% pure pomegranate) to be effective for lowering blood pressure, reducing arthritis and joint pain, fighting cancer, warding off bacterial infections, improving skin health, improving heart health and memory, and increasing testosterone for better mood and increased fertility and libido. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a great number of reasons to give this powerful anti-inflammatory food a try.
